I would take homak rs pro 72" over a current manufacture/version of the us gen 72"
Homak is 2" more depth, far far better drawer pull and latch & overall construction/finish not the worst .

How is it with the drawer latches? Do they wear on the box itself? It looks like metal on metal contact when you shut the drawers.

They do hit the rear of the latch about 3/16” unless you lift the handle but I always do anyhow. My fist box was a craftsman grip latch that I used 5-6 days a week for ~20 years and those are still going strong so I’d assume this one will last as well.
