Im beta testing a device that monitors current, voltage, temp, freq,PF,etc.
KWS-302WF.
The app it recommended is Smart Life.
I have it running on tablet so I know it works.
I m planning on adding some other smart devices so wondering what its capabilities are.

Like you, I installed smart life because a number of my home automation devices needed it to get them initially configured. It appears to work well and I am pretty impressed with its ability to recognize devices and integrate with other home automation.

That said, I prefer to use Home Assistant or Google home when actually talking to devices. I haven't explored automatons, logging, or triggered events with smart life as I find Home Assistant to meet my needs better with the ability to use it on my phone as well as any web browser.

I’ve been in the automation game for 25 years or so starting with the rather awful X10 stuff. I’ll spare you all the systems I’ve used since then, but would strongly steer anyone these days asking, to consider Home Assistant because of the number of integrations to other products and local control philosophy. I also use Hubitat and recommend it as a more user friendly option as HA can be a steep learning curve for a non technical person. I have not run across Smart Life in any discussions etc. until now.

Apparently it's a Chinese IoT Cloud based app from the company Tuya. I had not heard of it either.

OP, is that device even NRTL certified? At a price point of $7.67 from Aliexpress, I'd be afraid to even install that in my home. Given the fact that is does not use CT's to measure current, but installs in line with the electrical load scares me even more.
