Agriculture Temperature Controller, -30°F to +100°F Set Point, 1 SPDT (1 hp at 0.7 kW), 5.0°F Differential

Anyone know how this thing works?

I got one in my greenhouse and it opens and closes the vents on the greenhouse. I assume the one setting it opens and the other it closes.

I cannot figure that out how it works. I found a manual online but that didn't help much. Anyone ever used one?

How many wires land on the thermostat? If it is just two, it supplies power to go one way (maybe to open) and lets gravity or springs go the other way (maybe close?).

If there are 3 wires - one wire brings in power to the t-stat and then one wire is used for each function.

It has three terminals. Use the common (R), and (W) terminals for ventilation when you want to supply power to your actuator when the temperature reaches the set point. Use the common (R) and (B) terminals if you want to supply power to say a heater when the temperature reaches the set point.

It's a "Farm Stat". There are three terminals under the cover, "R", "B", and "W".
with a thermostatic element. It makes R to B on a temp drop below setpoint and makes R to W on a rise in temp above setpoint.
