Horizontal venting.

While researching my venting options I ran across this article. Is venting below the heater allowed with class 3 pipe. My understanding has always been no.

most, if not all heaters are required to use stainless for horizontal venting. the manual that comes with the heater will dictate what's allowed. unless local code overrides it .
