Apologies for the slightly off topic question - this is in my home, not the garage. I am fairly ignorant to HVAC control systems. I did however complete an apprenticeship 10 years ago that gave me a basic understanding of HVAC systems. The issue I have is the master suite in our house is about 10 degrees cooler than the living room, where the thermostat is. I would like to install a second thermostat in the bedroom to come on and control the HVAC at night, with the living room thermostat on during the day.
I have a Honeywell T5 thermostat in the living room. The HVAC unit is a Diakin DV59PTCC14AC, installed last April.
Will this work? How will I hook it up? Is there a simpler solution? I know the correct answer is to balance the ducts, and replace the windows in the master suite as the room is packed with low quality windows. Thanks all.
