You people never though to try the buttons on your keyboards?
Do you think they are there for looks?

Nope. When I'm scrolling up and down pages with the mouse wheel, I never thought to try the keys on the keyboard that take you to the beginning or end of a line of text. Why would I?

Because you paid for the keys...
Do you buy tools and NOT use them?(Wait, thats a foolish question.. Im on GJ!)

When you get a new car, do you not learn what all the buttons and switches do? The company put them there for a reason, to make life a little bit easier.

Maybe its me, but when I get something new, I take the time to learn everything it can do, even if I never use all of its features.

In my opinion, you are creating an argument for no reason. Most people are not going to be punching every key on the board in combination with their regular surfing activities to see what happens.

Hold the control button down while wheeling, Bull.

Whoah...magnify/reduce...awesome! Better than Ctrl + or -, which is what I have been using until now!

Their loss then, right?

I guess most people dont want to take 2 free minutes to press the keys to see what they do. Or read the manual...

Im guessing that the OP has spend more than two minutes of his life scrolling when he could have just hit "end"

Im trying to get people to read...to save themselves time. weird concept, to spend time reading instead of doing.

I read the manual for my wife's new computer that I am on now. Didn't see anything in there about what every key on the keyboard does when punched in unison with some other surfing/typing activity. That'd be a big manual to cover all the combinations.

This is a pretty bad debate topic. I gotta bail.
