How do new SK sockets compare?

Your luck may be different. But I would be sure to inspect the product closely when you get it. For some reason SK has had big problems with quality control in recent years.

I wouldn't sweat it - of my roughly 40 sockets that I recently purchased, 1 had a little grit in the chrome and 2 were finished a little weird way down inside the socket. I felt a little ripped off for a day or so, but then I used them and realized what a great value they were, and have been nothing but happy with them!
