How often do you need to use a 12 pt socket

As mentioned above, aftermarket ARP bolts.... pretty much the standard on most race cars, hot rods, etc. The professional race cars that I've worked on in the past had very few 6 point fasteners, almost all bolts/nuts were 12 point. (and usually made from titanium, but thats a different topic for a different thread)

I always use 12pts in a good brand I find no difference except impacts can cam out because of the soft metal. I got 8 points and have no clue what those things are for maybe fences and model t and other pre hex cars maybe but modern cars no clue. I will have to make a thread on those.
