How to shade a window unit

It’s getting towards the time of year (hot) when I can’t go work at the place anymore. I’m optimistic I’ll have the conex moved to its final resting place soon and that will give me access to the inverters and the batteries.

I’d like to place a window unit upstairs as a construction air conditioner. It’s not a permanent install, but it might be there for a year or two or three.

One of the issues I’m seeing is that the wall I’m going to put it on gets direct western sun in the afternoons. It’s on the second floor and I can’t think of a good way to give it some shade.

Has anyone seen a clever way of doing this? All my ideas are pretty crude.

Thanks
