Been a long time lurker on the site and decided to sign up. I'm a 17 year master mechanic. Started at new car dealerships, and then owned my own shop for a number of years. Got tired of 120 hour work weeks, and very little profit, so I went to work for one of the largest automotive fleets in the world. I work overnights, but it's all good!
The Craftsman smelly screwdriver thread on here cracks me up. I have some and went to work to smell them, but I didn't notice an odor.
I love tools, tool boxes, and equipment! I don't believe in bashing other folks for the type of tools, tool boxes or equipment they choose to buy or use! Everyone has a different preference and budget!
At any rate, besides working overnights at the fleet shop, I rent a small 4 car warehouse that's within 10 minutes of where I live. I have some old mopars that I'd like to again work on some day. I've drag raced for a number of years, and build transmissions for folks who race.
I'll post some pics of the shop on here, and maybe get some of your opinions on making it better, as I'd like to buy the place in a few years. Would really like to add a mezzanine, and pallet racking in the future, matching cabinets, etc, etc.
