HVAC suggestions

Here's my dilemma. I'm at the point in my garage build where I need to make a decision about HVAC. The building footprint is 30'x60', and the space will be divided basically in half. One side shop and the other car parking/storage. I'm looking at horizontal residential LP split systems. Problem is I'm concerned about both sides sharing the same system with the protential of debris/dust/paint created in the shop side migrating over to the storage side. Seems a bit excessive (and costly) to install two complete systems for realtively small spaces. I've looked at the electric mini units, and I'm not sure about them.
Looking for ideas.....anyone?

I would suggest if your looking at LP go Hybrid heat with a heat pump and an LP furnace . I would also suggest if your going to heat and cool both sides off the same system use good quality filters in the system and possibly add a second filter inline where the supply ducts go over to the clean side of the shop. You will spend roughly $500 to $600 more initially on Hybrid but it will pay you back in quick order especially if you are running LP.

So with a single system, will I be able to adequately filter the dust/fumes/paint in the air that will be generated on the shop side and keep it from migrating to the display/parking side? Are there other options I'm overlooking?

almost anything can be filtered out but the more elaborate the filter system the higher the cost with 2 30X30 areas you may want to look into mini ductless split systems for each side .I heat my garage which is roughly the size of one side of yours with a tanktop heater and am quite comfy in the winter wityh a standard uninsulated garage door .I will admit though I dont heat it 24/7 only if I am going to be out there playing do I heat it .
