My workshop is a 2400sf metal building which has insulation on the walls and roof, but with this Texas heat it's very hot inside the shop. Within the past 3 months the outside temps have been running about 95 to 100 degrees. I've got a couple of 30" floor fans that help, but it ain't enough. I do have OH doors on each end of the shop and when they are open I get a fairly good breeze (sometimes). I've been thinking about installing a couple of additional fans, but will mount them about 10 feet up on the steel columns. My wall heigth is 12 feet.
My question is, do any of ya'll have fans installed in this manner and does it really help..? I'm looking at the 30" Jan Fan I-beam mount with a drop cord switch. Any thoughts on this fan and the installation..?
