I have a suggestion.
I know there is a field in a members profile under the About Me tab where you can put in your occupation.
Has it been considered having this field displayed on each post under ones avatar, perhaps after the "Location" field?
For example:

In my opinion, it would help avoid a lot of confusion and frustration.
For instance, when someone asks:
"What screwdriver set would you recommend?"...
...they could easily see that:
"John Smith" is a electrician and thus recommends Klein,
"Harry Homeowner", as a DIY, has no problem with HF Pittsburgh,
"60hrsaweekMickey" is a fulltime mechanic and only uses Snap-on,
"BuyAmerican" is a retired mechanic and has a 30 yr old forged Craftsman set,
"Always2Spec" is an engineer and prefers the exact fit of PB Swiss.
It believe it would reduce explanation, and increase logical assumptions, regardless of the nature of the topic.
Just a thought.
And while im at it, i send a thank-you to the moderators and admin for making this a great place.
