...to the tractor and steam engine show. Spent the day at the flea market there.

I may have gone a little bit overboard but thought I would share my finds.

Ratchets and breaker bars

I finally picked up one of those odd Williams offset T handles ( the painted one).

Kind of like an instant Snap On collection too. I looked at them last year and the seller didn't even put them out because he said no one will pay his prices.

So what did I do? Made an offer on the whole Snap On lot this time and....SOLD.

Sockets A mix of USA brands. Some I picked up individual and some as a lot.

One guy had a nice bunch of Bonney tools. I grabbed the spark plug flip sockets with the hex head extensions.

A regular vendor at the weekly flea market showed up there with a metric Koken box set. I don't think I've ever seen any Koken around so I had to take that.

A guy could spend days there digging through sockets and wrenches. I know because I spent a whole morning and afternoon.

Great haul!!!!

Now what do you do with them.

Just yesterday, a neighbor gave me a set of Craftsman combination wrenches.

Unused, beautiful shape, 3/8 to 1 1/4 -V- series.

Now I don't know what to do with them. :dunno:

Nice!

I see a 1942, '43, '65, '85...

What's the date code on the speeder ratchet - the one with the black plastic handle?

It's a diamond stamp, I think 1980.

Some of the more interesting wrenches

One is a Snap On special military combo wrench.

The old Plomb LA wrench I passed on exactly three years ago due to a difference in opinion on the value. Well, three years later the seller returned and I didn't hesitate to pick it up this time.

I think the chrome adjustable is German. Another odd find for me to see.

Ford and KRW

These are all K.R. Wilson Tools for old Fords and some pieces to their engine stand, some old Ford wrenches
.
K.R.W. emblems, I assume from their hydraulic presses.

This may be the most interesting tool I found with the other parts and pieces^

K.R. Wilson offset screwdriver

Stamped "MODEL A STEERING GEAR SCREWDRIVER"

OK, I think that's about everything! Some of the vendors were joking with me that I need to bring a riding mower next time to carry stuff.

Outstanding haul!

A whole lot of good stuff there.

In post #11 Do you know what is that wrench marked "standard" used for?

I have a smaller version of it. Have no idea of what it could be used for.

Seriously, what are you going to do with all those old wrenches, ratchets, etc and specialty Ford tools? I could only assume you are mechanically clined and already have good tools, hence your interest in old tools, but that seems like a waste of tool box space to me. Unless you're planning on hanging them up or storing in a glass case.

Cool ,Joel. I have no idea other than farm related. Just thought it looked neat.

I collect tools as a hobby. Some get used and a few do get displayed.

Sweet looking stuff there.

Thanks!

I do not know what the Buffalo Tool wrench is. The logo is familiar , but I can't recall from who right now.

The marking looks like M & J to me.

A few of the tools after a nice vinegar bath. I'm pretty happy with the results.

Very nice haul 3bay! Looks like you had better luck than me, only managed to score at one sale yesterday morning and it was an elderly lady and her daughter selling their husband's stuff at "internet" prices. Said everything was negotiable, but their negotiating left a lot to be desired. Still ended up buying some stuff, damn old lady's getting to my soft side ;)

Love that Plumb ratchet. I've only managed to find one DBE pebble wrench in my travels and would love a complete set, great feel to it.

Thos Wright tool rolls are, are they made of Denim? Too bad they are each missing a few pieces...

The Chrome adjustable, is swedish. It's a bacho, before bacho existed so to speak.

According to wiki it should be at last a 100 years old, in 1916 enköping mekaniske verkstad was bought by BA Hjort & Co. Later renamed to BACHO.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bahco

Thanks. Yes I saw it was Swedish after looking into the name. There was a patent online for this style wrench

 I believe they are denim. Funny thing is whatever the tag is made of that looks like leather, but the seller ripped the price tag off and a piece of the Wright W went with it.

Funny how we can be about some things like that. Router bit set I got yesterday morning still has the original Sears price tag on it. Unfortunately they had put the garage sale price tag over it. I did manage to remove it without ripping the original one off, all the while lamenting the Lady running the sale. Only someone on here could care about something like that.

There were a few Snap On items that I was interested in until I saw the owners name heavily engraved and his whole name at that. One was a 1 5/8" SO combo wrench for $ 30.00. It was a great deal for a SO wrench , but I hate engraved tools.

Nice haul OP . . . . great variety and some real keepers. Especially like the "knuckle saver" Buffalo wrench. I'd guess that is local Buffalo, NY tool company at some point in time.

3Bay- Nice haul. Had I been in town for the event, I might have brought a bunch of stuff home, as well. But then again, if I did, my wife might have made move into the garage..... on second thought, maybe not such a bad punishment
