I need a cable connector.

Seems like this question belongs in this section. I need a slip on cable connector that I can crimp onto a piece of cable. Cable tv cable. I have looked at Radio Shack and I searched Amazon, came up w/ nothing. Thanks for the help guys.

Really, Just go to any box store in their electrical dept. get the coax cutter, crimper and ends. I use Kliens set but use whatever suits you. Really.

Lowes stocks this stuff, if they have it, get the gold colored ones, they are better quality.

Those connectors thread onto the device. The stereo receiver I have has a slip on fitting. A thread on connector will not fit over the fitting on the receiver.

OP . . . you do NOT want a "crimp on" connector . . . those are **** and will soon fall off.

What you want is COMPRESSION connector. You strip back the outer sheathing of RG6 and trim as required. Then put on connector and use special tool that compresses the connector onto the cable. These tools are available at Home Depot and Lowes.

What CNG said. Crimp connectors ****! Compression all the way. They make BNC, RCA, and F.

I think what he's getting at is he's got a stereo with a non-threaded F-connector. I've seen that before, compatible only with the push-on F connectors.

Worst case, use a normal threaded connector and adapt it:

Or it could be an oddball using an RCA connector (smaller outer diameter, larger center hole)?
