Ideas for detached garage

I'm remodeling a house as a spec, and also doing a new 22'x24' deep detached garage. There's a chance I'll end up keeping the house and living in it, so I want to put some serious thought into the garage. I have the shell framed and the roof on and am wrapping up electrical. So far I'm planning for the following:

Electrical:

  • I'm going overkill on the plugs (4 min. per wall) - you cant have too many. Including a few 220v outlets for bigger shop equipment.
    5 flourescent ceiling lights

Compressed air:

  • Compressed air system throughout the garage with 5 outlets, including one up high for a reel mounted hose.

Sound system:

  • I'm wiring for flush mounted ceiling speakers that go back to a receiver that I'll mount in a cabinet below my work bench.

Vacuum system

  • I have a lot of wood working equipment and would love to have an in wall vacuum system that I can connect to my large dust collector. My initial thought was to run some 2.5" PVC drain line through the wall with long sweet elbow connections. Anyone have any tips or experience with this?

Any other ideas would be great. I'll be closing up the walls in 3-5 weeks and want to make it a fun unique garage.
