Ideas to mount a vice

I just picked up the Husky ( drawer toolbox with the wood top. I wanted a worktop that was wheeled and if it came with drawers thats better. And for what im going to do low price was also at the top.
So it has a 1/2 top and I would usually put a vise on the edge either on the left or right side. But a locking bar runs the front so thru bolting cant be done without offsetting it from the front. With the wood being only 1/2 lag bolt I would think might not work?
Any ideas?

Would the heads of carriage bolts inserted from the bottom clear the locking bar?

Regardless of you will locate it on your box, you will want to through bolt it. Preferably near a corner. I'm picturing that you can mount your vise on a small wood base so that it's in the ideal location for you. And mount the base/vise to where your through bolts won't interfere with the locking bar.

It would be good to drill through the box too and use 4 fender washers on the bottom too.
Either left or right corner would be your choice
