I'm in the process of building a new home with a garage/shop. It's designed to hold a lift and has a 20 foot ceiling. I look forward to some good ideas from this site.

Well, the brick is up and inside of both garages are a mess (lots of lumber and tools in them) but I'll try to get some pics tomorrow. I wired the two car garage today and will try to finish the single one (shop with lift) tomorrow. I've put it off because I honestly don't know the best way to get light to the floor from 20 plus foot vaulted ceiling. I'm thinking about two eight foot florescent lights on the ceiling and 6 more down at the 9 foot level attached to the walls. I've also held off because I haven't received the lift yet and am not sure where the 220 needs to be mounted to best accomidate the 2 poster. Really interested in opions on compressors (replacing 220 volt craftsman). I'm looking for a good cast iron 2 stage 60 gallon set up. I'm also interested in opions of floor covering. I'm leaning towards the UCoat system. Any comments would be appreciated.

I hadn't honestly thought about it. I don't have any pics but will tell you it's a dinosaur but in great shape. I inherited it from my father who had used it very little but thought that he had a rod knock in it. I took it apart to inspect and found it to be that the flywheel was loose and had wallowed out the keyway. I took the crank to a machine shop and had them weld up the keyway slot and cut another slot on the opposite side. This worked out great. While I had it apart I honed the cylinder and replaced the rings, installed a new belt and air filter. In essence it has a new top end with no miles on it. It really hasn't been run in the past 5 years and when I got it out and changed the oil it looked like new. Of course I put it away with fresh oil in it and it hadn't been used. Now that I'm getting a place to use it feel like I need a bigger tank. It's probably not one that you would want to seriously consider though who knows? I guess if the price is right you might. It probably wouldn't be worth it to you to ship it though if you wanted to make a day of it I guess a drive from the neighboring state might make it worth while. It's a 220 volt 2 h.p. motor with a 25 gallon horizontal tank. It's old enough that the tank is green if that gives you any idea of its age. Craftsman has been red or black for years. I've got to get the camera to the house and take a few pics. I'll post a pic of it as well.
