I have a 10'x20' canopy for outdoor parties. The roof is some kind of white plastic coated material similar to those blue/gray tarps you get at HF. The joints are all pre-made for 1" conduit. The problem is the conduit is quite long for storage and transport.
I would like to cut the conduits in half and then swage one end of one tube about 3" so that it would fit inside the other half.
Either that or I'm going to cut them and insert hardwood dowels possibly pin them on the one half and then sand them down so the slide easily into the other half.
Looking for ideas on how to swage the end or re-join the 2 halves.
