When I first moved into my house 15 years ago, I painted the garage floor mainly to keep the dust down (unfortunately I cannot remember what type of paint it was, just flat grey in color). After 15 years, the paint on the floor is starting to show some wear, and has worn off in certain areas. I plan on putting down an open tile like Ribtrax and I'm wondering if the concrete needs to be treated again prior to putting the Ribtrax down? I live in Canada so in the winter, salt and snow gets tracked into the garage where it melts and sits on the floor until it dries. In the spring the floor gets washed to remove the salt buildup.
If something needs to be put down on the floor, are there any products you recommend keeping in mind it has to be available in Canada?
