Ironton Miter Saw?

I'm looking to get a decent miter saw for weekend projects around the house and eventually a few furniture pieces. I don't want to spend a ton of money (we just had twins and they're already bleeding me dry), but I would like to buy something that will hold up over the years and do the few tasks that I will ask of it.

Right now I'm looking at the Ironton 10in. Multi-Sliding Compound Miter Saw. It seems to have the most features for the price and most of Ironton's products appear to have decent reviews...

Any input would be appreciated.

For that money you can get into some good used saws or wait for a recon/sale. Looks like a rebadged Cman pos.

This Hitachi is ugly as hell but likely a much better saw.

Do you really need the slider? Sears had a Dewalt 12inch for $239 the other day.

I figured the slider would be good for larger pieces of wood. Thanks for all of the input! I'm always a little hesitant to purchase something reconditioned... but that's just me. I'm definitely going to run up to Home Depot and Sears tomorrow to look at the Dewalt.

And it does what it's supposed to do...

And, it's a 12" saw, too...
