MP: probably my favorite maker. of course condition means everything so can you post any pictures so we might be able to help? if the edges are still nice and not chipped and it has a great rebound it is a valuable tool not to be hammered on with cold steel that will chip it.

MP: I've seen worse, but the top edge looks strange to me. how much is he asking? if you are interested can you get him to email you more pictures from the top and sides to post here?

Once the paint is removed from the working surfaces, that would be a good homeowner anvil for casual use. If you were to use it often for blacksmithing work, then it would need a lot of work to make it serviceable for that purpose. There's a bit of a sway in it's back that would have to be minimized and some possible pitting that would have to be addressed.
As for price, well we would need to know how much it weighs and if there are any cracks on the sides that we can't see before we could throw out some credible numbers.
