I read that water drops are suppose to "soak in" to the concrete, but mine isn't soaking in at all which leads me to believe that it has some sort of sealer on/in it. Can anyone confirm this for me and perhaps offer some advice on how to remove it?

The slab is pretty old, maybe 25 years old. You can read more about it in my other post.

Water beading like that has a blocker of some sort. If the slab was really glazed (hard trowel) at time of finish that can close the surface off pretty tight. Looks as if it has a penetrating sealer on it. That needs to come off by mechanical means. gene ec-Indy
