So i'm a member of another forum, and they have this Itrader thing... it's a rating system that's used when you buy stuff from another member, kinda like the ebay feedback system. The classified section on GJ is HUGE compared to the forum I'm mentioning. I think that an Itrader rating might help ppl decide if the seller is a standup guy/gal....
I don't know anything about itrader, because I never buy stuff on that forum... but i buy a ton of stuff here....lol
just thought I'd throw it out there....

itrader is a module on the vbulletin forum system.

I'm not sure what version GJ runs, but sometimes it requires an upgrade to use. I like it. I use it on a bunch on other forums.

The one complaint I have about it is that they DONT link. You can have an itrader for each forum and have 1000 positives on one and 2 on another. It kind of defeats the purpose of letting people know. You could show a link to another, but that probably goes against a rule somewhere. Other than that it works.

Sometimes it can be hard to find the link to post feedback. On several of the forums, the itrader is below the persons username with a number or whatever, but you have to actually click the user, go to their homepage and then click the itrader link under their name. A little bit redundant if you ask me. A little bit redundant if you ask me.

I could live without the linking. I'm more interested in seller/buyer ratings on THIS forum. I'm of the opinion that sellers should establish themselves within this community before selling items...

Good luck - I requested one of the most basic forum modifications such as auto image resizing so the 1.5MB pictures don't always get posted full size and it didn't get any response.

Edit: BUT - should the administrators decide to actually do some modifications to their forum, I definitely second this request. iTrader is a great utility. I'm surprised that this forum is so basic - I mean yeah it works but there's so many basic add-ons for vBulletin available at vBulletin.org that would greatly enhance the user experience here.

Heck, if the admin needs help with these type of modifications I'd openly volunteer. I've been running my own vBulletin site for 5 years and another Camaro/Firebird website made me a super admin on their site to help them with some of the administration tasks. I'm just a computer nerd that likes vBulletin and all the features that vB.org has to offer.
