Found this site when I was looking for info on old vises, lost of great info and I was able to make an educated purchase so thanks to everyone here for their posts and my education.
About me: I'm currently serving in the military. I joined up later than most (at 25). Before that I tried college, not for me. Went to a machining trade school, worked on injection molds for a couple years, got bored. Ran a paving and sealcoating crew in Florida, DEFINITELY not for me. I lucked out and now work as a fireman in the Air Force. Haven't gotten bored with this yet!
I like old tools and guns. Not so much a car guy as far as performance/collecting but I enjoy working on vehicles very much. I'm proud to say my truck is 42 yrs old and gets almost 10 mpg on a good day. My "shop" consists of a two car garage that my wife tries to sneak her car into. I have to live vicariously through those of you who have dedicated shops.
