Hello from Tennessee;
Should of done this earlier, but there is so much good info. It is really humbling to find this much knowledge on garages/shops.
The last true garage I had was in 1992. The rest have been storage buildings or lean-tos. Now I have a small two car garage which really needs organizing. Some of the spaces here are inspirational.
