I picked up this K-D torque wrench recently and found that’s its reading roughly 12% under. I’m using one of the digital gauges with my vise for measuring.

I would like to calibrate the torque wrench and haven’t found instructions that match what I have. Has anyone calibrated one of these? Does the rubber grip come off to expose the adjuster?

I’ve read some of the other threads that discuss this was manufactured by Danaher and had many different names stamped on it - mine came in a Napa storage case.

Thank you!

The black handle pulls straight off. It may take some force. The metal cap you see inside the end of it is just a cover and should stay in the handle. Once off, you should see a phillips screw head.

Thank you!

I was able to get much closer, it’s now reading about 5% over. I’m going to work on it a bit more and do some cleaning to remove light rust on the adjusting bolt.
