V without other letters means V8 only, then the 108 if nothing else is stamped on tool means it is early...by about WWII KRW was using the base Ford part number associated with the tool as the designation. Does it act with a straight push or a rotary motion, and how stiff is it...can spring be compressed by hand or is it real stiff?
I was thinking of the axle pinion torque gauge that hooks on pinion and measures the light torque needed to rotate it. Don't have much listing info here at work.
