i just purchased a kalamazoo band saw. there is no model plate can anyone help with model # or other info.

There were two of those on Dallas Craigslist a couple of weeks ago. I wish I had the spare cash and was closer. I'd have bought both of them.

I think you have a model 816 which is code for ability to cut 8"x16" square. There is also an 824. I have some of the information on these, basically what was on the stickers that originally were glued inside the wheel covers. Yours looks to have the cast covers with the raised Kalamazoo emblem. Mine is restored and works great but I have the slightly later fabricated wheel covers. I may be able to e-mail the instructions to you if you PM me your e-mail. Ed.

That one is pretty different looking with those curved blade support arms. Nothing like that on Vintage Machinery that I could find. With the saw closed like in your pic, measure from the bed to the inside of the top frame, in other words the vertical cutting capacity. Yours looks bigger than the typical 8" to me. I have a little 610 and love it.
