Can't find out any information on this rare kennedy tool box and what it is worth

Sorry I’m not much help but I think it was made before 1950 because of the leather handle. Btw that box is SWEET!

Worth is what someone is willing to pay, and where you are located makes a difference. I picked up my last 516 for about $7, but it won’t leave here that cheap.

There is a 516 listed in this flyer from 1940. What RTM says about value is a perfect answer. If you don’t want to keep it, list it on eBay as an auction and you will soon know it’s exact value.
