I bought this tool years ago, thinking I can one day use it to measure the brake pressure at my calipers. I am now realizing this was a test tool for GM Teves ABS systems.

Looking at the adapter itself, what would I have to purchase out there so I can screw these into the typical Ford caliper?

What fitting is on the end of the hose?
Typical Ford caliper on what? If they have ever been replaced you can find 4 different size/thread pitch on one car...........

I am not sure what fitting that is. I could only assume it’s for the Teves system. The car I want to use this on primarily is for my SVO Mustang,

Looks like 1/4" pipe same as a air tool?
Do you want to attach it to a caliper via the bleeder?
Use 3/16 brake tubing and a bubble flare is the usual set up then adapt it the pipe thread on the gauge.
Does the gauge have a bleeder on it to bleed the air out after hooking up?

It does not have a bleeder on the gauge. I think the idea is once your foot is off the brake pedal, all pressure is eliminated and therefore can remove it without issue.

I also took the fitting that was on the end of the test tool and matched it up at my local parts store.

Looks like I need a female 5/16-24 to adapt to a male (let’s say 3/8x24” thread for a ford) end for the caliper.

Without the ability to bleed the air out of the line the and seal the threaded joints any readings will be worthless.

Pressing down on the brake pedal produces pressure....lifting off the pedal eliminates the pressure. Should be able to remove the gauge at that point.

According to SSBC and LEED brakes, they either make their own adapters or have them custom built, but they do not sell the adapters separately.
