Kmart reward points?

Something on clearance in the auto dept I'd like to get. How do the points work at Kmart? Someone school me

same as Sears SYWR. some coupons are only good at Kmart, some Sears, some both. It uses the same account.

Okay so it was for a battery actually. Marked clearance 37.89 and I did get $5 surprise reward for adding the Kmart app to my phone. Went in bought the battery and got the $6 off I had $1 from before than my total was $31.89 and the reciept says price includes $15 core so $16.89 all said and done.

Well I went to get the core return and they gave me only $9. Really frustrating 15 mins later I gave up and just took the $9. They can't seem to figure out it's not a return and when they go to do a core return the system takes the $6 and puts it back on the card. She kept saying that's not "your" money that's Kmart's money. I just gave up.
