Know who makes my Craftsman mic.

l have this Craftsman mic., nice mic, never thought about the maker though,
just saw a B&S on the classifieds for sale, has to be it.
its a dead ringer.

Lock knob and ratchet aren't the same...my guess is Scherr Tumico.

The knurling on the barrel isn't the same either. Not saying B&S didn't make mics for other companies, (I admittedly am rather ignorant) but there are enough differences between these 2 that I wouldn't call them the same.

I can't answer your question. However, after comparing the two sets of pictures, I can honestly say that I don't see anything identical between the two. Certainly not a "dead ringer" in my opinion. Sorry I don't have more info for you.

It looked like it at first, esp the head, (frame?) and the way the conversion chart is marked.

I'd throw Miller Falls tools in the pool of guesses. They made measuring tools under contract for Craftsman also.

It's not a MF mic. Their frames are a tad different, I don't think I've ever seen a MF mic wearing satin chrome, lock knob is wrong.

I'm about 99% it's a Scherr-Tumico, or as they're known these days, S-T Industries.
