Hello all!
Stumbled upon this site this morning! I've always wanted to organize my garage; I'm lucky in that I have a huge, three car garage with a storage room off the back. Things I intend to work on include: lighting, organizing, painting, shelves, moving workbenches around, etc. I got my storage room cleaned out last month. Right now I'm painting my husband's childhood Ethan Allen bedroom set in the third bay... painting everything a jet black, then going back with my sander and distressing.
I'll take a few photos; it won't look very impressive, as most of you guys have all sorts of huge tools, etc. My father-in-law gave me many of his older tools... I would love to get those up and running. Many of them I don't even know how to use! Holy cow!
Thanks for sharing everybody!

I'm looking forward to your picture postings; its great to see the 'unvarnished canvas' so we can enjoy your progress from its earliest stages. Thank your FIL for us, it'll be great to see what treasures he gave to you and I'm sure there are members here who can advise you about getting then "up and running".

Thank you, Omphaloskeptic! You mean "busybeard?" That is our user name on eBay. Not selling any tools there... at least not yet. Another reason that I want to get my garage looking good, is that it reminds me of my father, who always had a good lookin' garage! Hopefully Dad's up in heaven with his grandpa, who was a "Smithy" (blacksmith) up in rural Minnesota. I'll get some pics of my garage up soon :)

Welcome to GJ, busybeard. Sounds like you are on the right path to getting the shop set up. You have the wish list ideas, tools motivation and GJ. What else could you ask for? Other than more money, lights, power, a floor... Well, its a start. Hope you jump in and browse around.

BTW, we have a few others from your neck of the woods, 'flybefree', for one! Glad you joined us.
