I'd have to see the specs but from the pictures but I have to question the 80/20 claim.

The only way I could see that happening would be the full load was located flat against the wall, otherwise it's a big lever trying to pry the rails off the wall.

As the weight is moved away from the wall (moment arm is increased) the more outward force will be applied to the rails at the point the diagonal arms are attached.

It's all explained in this simple diagram lol :willy_nil L * F = Lw * W

I saw this on HGTV or TLC the other day, they used it for a push mower, worked good, I'd use it for something like that, but probably not a large motorcycle.

Looks like a great idea for large, bulky items that aren't too heavy. I'd be concerned with heavy items if I didn't do the wall construction myself. The only way around the wall issue, would be to make sure the top is extended & anchored beyond the ceiling to have a natural barrier to keep it from leaning.

That is interesting. For the amount it probably costs (if you have to ask, you can't afford it) and the work that needs to be done to the wall to install it, i'd probably just buy a shed. i'm lazy that way

When I ran out of ideas for maximizing use of my space, I built a shed. It's primary purpose was to get all of the yard and garden tools out of the garage and make more room for the GTO project.

One word of advice - if 8'x12' is good, 12'x16' is better. I wish it was twice as big, then I could move our five bicycles out there too...

Nice Shed

Oh man, I can relate. I built my "garden tool" shed last year to get the yard stuff out of the garage, now I want another one to get the tractor out as well.

Someone on this board said; "No matter how big you think it is, it ain't big enough" or it could have been his wife that said it
