I have a leather faced hammer that's lost its leather face and needs replacing. Wondering if anyone has done this before or maybe some general leather knowledge.
I glued and rolled round faces (middle), rolled up using contact cement and glued the with liquid nails to the hammer recessed pocket. Question is the original leather face (left) was more ridge like it was set or cured in a way that it rigid. The leather I replaced it with was from shoe construction more pliable.
