led flood light... garage use

Anyone use these in there garage ceiling.. I have two outside and they are great, very bright,.. I like the fact that they are thin , and could be made to be flush in the ceiling.. (These are also great for indoor flood lights during remodels etc.. Price is pretty good also..)

i light my shop with 6 of those- 3 each side, 12 feet from floor- 50 watt lights,replaced 300 watt halogen floods of same style. shop is 24 wide 48 long

A few folks here have experimented with those, but they're not really designed for indoor use. They produce a lot of light in a pretty tight beam, which doesn't work very well for general illumination of a space, especially with low (-ish) ceilings. Also, they are blindingly glarey. Yes, for work lights or for flooding outdoor spaces, they are OK.

My neighbor has those mounted on his walls. They do a good job of providing light under hoods or even under vehicles. You get used to not looking directly at them.
