They have been brought up several times. I believe they're basically a fluorescent conversion led but built into their own line voltage fixture. Pretty efficient and a huge variation in color temperature available. Amazon and others sell them.

Anyone ever come across and use something like this?

https://www.kijiji.ca/v-renovation-...p_ios&utm_medium=social&utm_source=ios_social

Im very green when it comes to lighting. But have to come up with something for my 32x50 that i am building.
The more i read in the lighting threads the more confused i get.
Lol

How tall? What use for the space? What color walls, ceiling, and floors? Got photos or plans?

Have you read the two stickies? Platonic Solid has made a recommendation for one just like yours.

They have their place. I've used them and have recommended them for certain tasks. If your garage is just a place to park cars and tinker, then this style would be OK. If you're doing mechanical work or hobby work, then probably not. The product you linked to is waaay overpriced. You can get them much cheaper.
Probably what you should do is to start another thread asking for a layout to be done for you. Include your dimensions LxWxH, state your intended purpose, and give a general idea on how much light you want.
Good luck,
CD

Thanks guys.
I have browsed the other threads (stickies). They have a tonn of information.
My build is a 32x50 with 12ft wall. Eventually will be lined with white pvc or metal.
All white im pretty sure. Will be used to work on cars as a hobby. Smoke cigars and
Hang out with friends.
Ive found similar sizes and heights in those other threads.
But still need to figure out exactly what I want. All i really know is i want it bright.
And will run 2 separate groups of lights for not so bright times.
Thanks for the info on what i posted.
