About 8 or 10 years ago I had put in fluorescent lights in my shop. T8s if I remember correctly. The local electrical supply house said the lights would not bother my radio. They were wrong. The lights were commercial lights and I could not operate my old Sony boombox radio. So, I put in an outside antenna and ran a shielded cable from into the shop and connected it to a used surround sound system I picked up on Craigslist. The old Sony boombox has sat since then. A week or so ago I thought I would sell the old radio and so I turned it on and it works fine with the lights on. No static or interference. What the %$#$%?? So what would have happened in the past 8 to 10 years that would cause my old Sony boom box to work fine with the lights on. When I drive my pickup into the shop with the radio on (FM) I immediately get static. Just curious as to the answer. I am keeping the radio now. Thanks in advance
