Agreed. I don't think Lisle designed these, but just put their name on the package. I see no reason to buy the name brand at all.

AFAIK, Lisle was the first to introduce these a few years ago. I won't bet on it, but Lisle was the first that I saw here. Yes, they're made in China, but the quality on my set is excellent for ~$20 each. Whether or not they designed them, who knows, but Lisle actually introduces a lot of new products every year that no one else has. They have an "inventor" reward if they use someone's idea for a new product which keeps their product line growing- they don't just throw random **** at the wall like some names do.

^ Lisle, Thexton, and K-D have all been innovators and "problem solvers" from Day One.

Which begs the question: do either Thexton or K-D offer anything to address the issue of whacky electrical plugs?

I have and like the Lisle versions. I did manage to gorilla grip and break a brittle Ford alternator connector with one yesterday. I still use my fingers or a pick more often...

Glad I found this thread as I am due to add a variety of these pliers to the tool cart. I do a lot of work on my motorcycles and other vehicles and the electrical connectors can drive my frustration easily. I'll shop on Amazon for these but I don't shop/buy on Temu (just a personal choice). I womder if there is a particular set of these pliers better suited to the tight access of motorcyces versus cars?

91% of reviews give them a 4-star and higher.

^ The ones I was looking at up in Sequim a couple weeks ago appeared to be a bit smaller overall than the Lisle equivalents.
Made in mainland China. He was retailing them for about $8 bucks a pair - bulk - on a big display table.
Check your local "tool liquidator" outlet if you've got such a thing.

Generic - made in China (PRC) - black "spongy" handle with red stripe - no name - no packaging

^ Those are the same pliers I bought up in Sequim. They were not $8 - they were $13. So your Amazon price sounds like the same unit.
