Thank you, I appreciate the offer. On re-reading my post it has a negative tone; that wasn't what I intended. I just was trying to let people know that 1) these were definitely used items; and 2) that technically they had no warranty. The grease gun sure looks like a quality unit and I'm pretty sure it will be just fine.

It's still bitterly cold here (-40F in the valleys, -50F forecast for tonight). I'd love to be greasing my truck's driveline but I think I'll wait! Besides, I'm too busy loading the woodstove constantly, and dealing with dead car batteries. :)
Thankfully we haven't had that kind of cold yet here in NH & VT. We did get a couple of weeks of teens and 20s but it's back up into the 30s now thankfully.

Okay so what's up with the pressure return valves? They don't appear on your website anymore. Were these taken out of production?

Yeah, I saw that. I guess what I should have asked is after the replacement units are sent out will they be going back on sale, and when do you anticipate that to occur?

Just to let you know, I bought one of your inflator chucks from Amazon. Now I know why it costs $40 when others cost $5 or so. Your chuck is great! No leaks, the grip on the stem is solid and it is very heavy duty. I love it.

Nice job guys!
Interesting. I've got 2 of these and they both leak on the stem almost every time I use them. I usually try moving it around several times and finally give up and it leaks. I've tried putting it as far on as I can, half way on, on as little as I can. I've tried turning it and wiggling it to get it to seat and can only make it not leak about 25% of the time. I've also tried multiple styles of stems and all seem to be the same. Any secrets to getting them to work? I like the design, just wished it wouldn't leak.

I don't know why your experience is like that. Only thing I would suggest is to make sure that when you clip the chuck on to the stem, it is on straight and not bending the stem. Perhaps LockNLube people can chime in and give you some suggestions. Good luck.

Looks like Last Best Tools on YouTube and several others who have commented have similar issues of leaking.
Hopefully something they can address.

Unfortunately, we have had a few of these come back with bad seals. We are warranting all of them, of course. So if you have any issues, please call in and talk to Aaron or Carleen and they will take care of you.

if you look at how it works, the valve stem face seals against a rubber/plastic washer in the chuck. on mine, it's clear/translucent. pressing the chuck onto the valve harder can therefore only potentially improve the seal assuming there's not so much pressure on it that it warps the seal.

it's not made of a very compliant material. they went with more longevity, but it's tradeoff.

if it leaks, either the washer is bad/contaminated, or the valve face is bad/contaminated.

it only really seals well on valves that are clean and in good condition (even and smooth all the way around the face). use valve caps!

also, i think it's cool that @LockNLube has a presence on the forum. welcome.

I have had the same experience. I did warranty the one that I had and the new one is better but still leaks every time unless I play with it and hold it at a certain angle and get lucky. Customer service was great, but it just frustrates me that I can't get it to work the way it does in the videos.

I warrantied one of mine in the past and had the same results. Still leaked regularly. I’m hoping that they get it figured out in the future and I’ll exchange them out then. I so want these to work better.

I found the air chuck is very finicky to get seated on the valve stem, it leaks a lot on my M18 inflator.

Overall I think I'm still saving time, but it does often require a bit of fidgeting to get a seal. It doesn't have that same no-worry lock like the grease unit.
Granted I've used the inflator more lately, I do believe it had a better seal when I first installed the adapter.

I wanted to give you all a heads-up on a free promotion we just made live. We'll have an email and social media out tomorrow.

Thanks, order placed. I've been very happy with my Locknlube grease gun that I bought last year.

Wanted to tell you that your website is not working right. The "Load More" button doesn't work - it goes to an individual product page.

Also, if you click on the picture for an individual product it often goes to a different product. Clicking the text descriptor (instead of the image) seems to work properly.

Thanks for the heads up. Those all sound like the issues we recently had fixed by our web developer, and I'm not able to reproduce them on my end. I would try clearing your cache for a clean reload. I appreciate you letting me know though, I'll keep an eye on it.

@LockNLube -

I just checked it and it is working fine at this end. Looks like you have 24 items on sale crazy cheap.

Hope the other members see this thread. (y)

Take a look, gentlemen - the stuff looks to be all half price on this deal.

I tried Chrome and it works fine there. In Firefox I forced a page refresh and the issues persist. Weird.

In any case, thanks! I went out on a friend's riverboat recently and noticed he had a really lousy grease gun for his lower unit. He doesn't know it yet, but he's getting a nice replacement soon!

Just a heads up that we’re officially launching our new DynaBoost® Grease Gun later this week. It’s already live on our site if you want to check it out early.

This is a project we’ve been working on for a couple of years now, and we’ve had the chance to preview it at SEMA in both 2024 and 2025. Really excited to finally roll it out.

Hey everyone,

I wanted to extend something directly to the Garage Journal community.

As noted above, we’ve just released our new DynaBoost® Dual-Mode Grease Gun, and I want to offer a special member-only price to GJ folks who are willing to put it to work and share real feedback.

Garage Journal member price: $99.99 (regular price $119.99)

I’m keeping this to a limited number of Garage Journal members so I can personally follow up with everyone.

How this works:
  • Email me directly to get your Garage Journal only discount code: [email protected]
  • Purchase the gun from our website using that code at checkout 📦
  • Use your new Grease Gun in the shop or out in the field
  • I’ll follow up a few weeks after delivery to collect:
    • A short review
    • One or two in-use photos
No scripts, no pressure for glowing reviews. Honest feedback and real-world in-use photos are exactly what we want.

If you’re interested, email me at: [email protected]

Please include:
  • Your Garage Journal username
  • A quick note on how you plan to use the gun (home shop, fleet, ag, etc.)
I’m happy to answer any questions about the design, specs, or how this compares to other manual grease guns.

Thanks as always for the great discussions and support here. I work 9-5 east coast and will get back to folks as quickly as I can.

Thank you!

Cool concept. If only this did not have the rod and was like the easy prime.

I have used a hand hydraulic pump with diesel to push out stubborn grease over the years.

In case you hadn't seen, we've moved our "Garage Sale" items to eBay. Now, instead of a bi-annual sell off on our website, we will just add stock to the eBay items as things come in.

Garage Sale items are sold for 50% off new retail.
These items are pre-owned, and may have minor cosmetic wear and signs of use. Photos for reference; actual item may vary. All Garage Sales are final.
