Log splitter 3 point mod

I wasn't nuts about taking the time to do this but spose have wasted plenty on other foolish activities. Was looking for a shortcut to get what I wanted, did manage to find a bar I could have welded directly on but was attracted to bolts. This doesn't show the construction details but you can get the idea. At one time I had a 3 pt mounted splitter and was muscling this thing around the woods the other day when my Dad mentioned how sometimes the thing was handy mounted to the tractor. I hate backing this little deal up in the woods so for giggles I put a 3 point bracket on it. Will be able to back over rough ground right up to trees. Also a while back made protector for hyd filter that always seemed to get banged up.

I have same splitter, same experiences w hydro filter vulnerability and what appears to be your fuel tank mod.
I am also 'thinking about' splitter rail extensions/table area, perhaps made out of bed rail.

I thought about a table, it may be next. The old fuel tank leaked so I took a sawzall to it, cut open to saddle a tank from another engine to it, piece of pipe hanger strap to secure it, had a filter and shutoff in this one. I made the wedge 2 inches taller, pusher an inch too. Relocated the jack leg, added about 18 inches or so to the tongue, cut off ball coupler and used pin to hook on, pain to dig up a ball every time it needed to be towed. I also made extensions for the axles to raise it about 6 inches, was so low to the ground.
