I had mine made and I was told no need to seal it in. It already has a protective coating on it. I put mine down about 5 days after I was done with the floor.

I can get banners from a sign company made out of a certain grade of plastic so that it sticks and is coated over.
I was thinking about a logo for the floor in the next garage, just as a bit of fun. I was thinking that a clear coat on top would really be a must.
It would look so so shabby if it got damaged and in any garage I am in this is a fair chance.

Cruzomatic, that's what I'm talking about. What did that cost, was it made for you , or is that sold at a dealership? If you had it made, could you give some details like did you supply the art work, or did the shop have it? Also how does it hold up driving wheels over it etc? thanks, Herb

Thanks Herb, I had it made by a friend of my wife who owns a sign shop and he gave me a discount on it. I paid $100 for it, but would probably cost about $120ish I think. As far as the art work, they already had it on file and just made it to the scale or measurement that I wanted. Came out really nice. It's held up well. I asked them if I needed to seal it and I was told no that it wasn't necessary as it already had a protective coating on it. It's held up well, to normal foot and wheel traffic.

There are graphic signshop materials designed to go on floors and laminates that have non-slip surfaces on them. If you have a smoothish floor, I'll be glad to help you with a graphic (we don't stock the rough surface materials...so it would be more expensive for us to look at that with you than you could get from say, fathead.).

If you decide to put on the floor and seal over. It is imperative that you take a seam roller and get those edges down tight. If a solvent based clear gets under it, it may bubble a bit.
My suggestion is a decal that can take some traffic placed over the clear. If you decide to sell your house the new owner can remove easily.

Not yet, going to do that someday. As far as logos, I haven't had any demand for any and haven't put one in mine. Just know what to do when it arises.

Didn't have any luck with Fathead, the reply said they didn't have anything for a garage floor that might have a lot of use. Also the VW logo I wanted to use, said they can't copy because of registered trade mark. I always think that's ******** if you are only doing 1. If I wanted to make 100's or more than yeah I can see that without permission from VW.
