looking for carriage house

Hi Everyone,

Does anyone have any advice or links to site's that have any info on carriage houses? In particular pricing and ideas. I'm looking to build a 3 car garage with a second floor apartment, but haven't been able to find more than a few examples. I'm thinking about 30 x 50 for the building size.

I wanted to make my "barn" look like carriage house too. It's pole style 30 x 40 with a 17 x 40 room upstairs. I think it looks good!

I vote for calling in the pros for this.
Legal more than structural.
"Carriage Houses" raise all kinds of zoning questions.
You may not need technical help as much as legal.

I hear prices for new construction is pretty high there where you live! Plus, by the time you figure in heated concrete driveways, cultured marble tile, granite counters, steam showers, Gormet kitchen, gold faucets, walnut custom cabinetry,Security system, electric gates, all that landscaping, sprinkle system, excavating, pool, sauna..... probably the best part of $400,000 to $650,000.
