Hello, I have a John bean tire balancer model 3.2 and I’m looking for a manual for it seeing how I misplaced mine. The balancer is asking me to calibrate it and I cannot seem to figure it out on my own. If anyone has a manual for one of these balancers or knows how to perform the calibration procedure properly it would be very much appreciated!

Try reaching out to Gary here:

He was a HUGE help getting my old FMC balancer back on line. We worked through many different things, and eventually I sent him the control board for servicing, as I could not get the machine to calibrate.

Thanks specracer I found out the balancer is the same as an fmc 4200 I could only find a manual for the 4300 but it is very similar. It even has the same control panel. Tried the 4300 calibration procedure which I believe is the same for my machine and it still won’t calibrate! It just keeps telling you to re spin. Is this what your machine would do?

I have a FMC5200 (3 phase), and I was going to toss in the towel. I got in touch with Gary and he stressed that the machine is an old school American made machine and still effective. I decided to stick with it. In the end, I sent him the board of the unit, he cleaned and tested it, and got me going again. These machines are quite simple, there are the board, encoder, and 2 sensors (in addition to the motor etc). He has a 4xxx machine, so can fully test the board.
