Back in the day, my father had brake tools that we used to work on our brakes. My brother inherited them. I'm working on my 1972 Cutlass 442 rear drum brakes so I borrowed the tools from but the end of the pictured tool used to remove the springs is broken. The end used to stretch the springs on to the attachment points is OK. I have a few photos below of the tool and I have a close up of the stamping on the side of the tool! It says:

280 - BRAKE TOOL, K-D TOOLS, LANCASTER, PA MADE IN U.S.

The dark attached metal piece on the end is the spring removal part but the metal piece that stuck out to catch under the spring to remove it when you twisted the tool is broken off. You can see the nub that's left from where it broke off it on the top photo (I'm not sure just it could have been broken off?). I'd love to find the same tool in great shape for a reasonable price if anyone out there has a spare. Most likely the last time I'll ever do a set of drum brakes on any car, but the tool would be nice to have. I have new tools that are crappy IMO!
