Lowe's Bargain

I came across this 1" conduit bender at Lowe's and couldn't pass it up for $20 even though I already had one. It was a closeout, normal price $79.99 and I was tempted to check the other stores in the area and resell them on eBay - but instead I'll just pass the word along.

The head is cast iron, so it's heavier than the aluminum ones - 12 lbs - but probably stronger too.

Still showing $80 on their site, so either it's a local deal or maybe Lowes is getting ready to phase out the Southwire brand and replace it with something else.

That's my thought - I've picked up some really good deals on electrical tools when they change out the lines/brand names - sometimes 50-75% off. But you have to be there right when it happens. I am usually walking by looking for something else in the store.

This will be good, I remember giving the local Lowes guy some flack when they lost/dropped the Klein account. He just looked at me sheepishly. It wouldn't of been so bad if they didn't greedily charge as much for their imported SW tool line up.

Yes, it might be just a local thing (St. Louis)- I'll be out and about tomorrow could pick up one or two for members - pm me if you want one. Shipping might make it not such a hot deal - too big for flatrate box. 3' long
