Lowe's clearance on individual kobalt wrenches and sockets

Stopped by Lowe's last night to pick up a couple things and saw a bin in the tool section with 99¢ chrome sockets, $2.99 impact sockets, and $4.99 wrenches. Went home and made a list and came back today to get a few missing tools. Forgot to make a list of impact sockets though so I'll have to come back.

Found today clearance $70 kit. I’m not in the flex line but hey why not. 6ah battery and a nice case. Nice find. I have a few FLEX power tools I've purchased over the last few months, but I fear they might be going away. It seems like everything from FLEX is on clearance and the parent brand...

Some lowes employees mentioned they where going to reorganize and refresh the line up. Craftsman is also doing the same thing. Basically Changing sku due to tariffs.

I finally found the 1 3/16 combo that has been missing from my set. Rarely needed so Kobalt is more than good enough. All the ratcheting wrenches were sizes I almost never use.

In the two stores I use most often, one had almost nothing left. The other had a lot.

Bought probably 2/3 of an SAE set in ratcheting wrenches yesterday. No dice on metric, unfortunately--and I needed Metric ratcheting wrenches--the SAEs were just larger sizes I didn't have, or sizes I lose.

Sockets--got a little overwhelmed to pick over. Plus, I have 5 gal buckets full of cheap no-name Taiwan and China sockets I picked out of my toolbox.

My Lowe’s has stopped carrying individual sockets and wrenches. An employee said they were going to switch over to three packs. I think it’s hard to make money on a low volume $5 item even if the manufacturing costs are zero. Craftsman individuals are still available at my Lowe’s.
