I don't think your out of line. Generally toolboxes will net a maximum of 50% of origional cost. Just these days anymore people fon't have lump sums of money to buy things thats why theres hundreds of toolboxes on craigslist in my area.

The triple bays don't come up for sale here very often but when they do they are usually $3000-$3500 and they only last a couple of weeks max. I would say you are about right since it has stainless top. That being said I just bought one two weeks ago on Craigslist near Charlotte NC. Mine is 4 years old so it has the older style emblems. It also didn't have a stainless top or spring wheels. No scratches or dents though. I paid $1800. It popped up for $2000 at 11 at night. I just happened to be on CL when it popped up. I called right then and asked his best cash price and he said $1800. I picked it up the next morning. Probably not many people even saw it.

Put it on eBoy; for pickup only. Craigs is for crackheads and coupon people. Wrong audience for a box like that.

:+1: Once you get past ~$2K for an empty box you are looking at a very limited audience. Especially this time of year.

Also, I don't think your pictures or ad description are helping. Drawer liners? Keys? It almost looks like the lock is missing?

I bought my Snap On KRL triple bank off of Craigslist locally, everything I found on eBay was too far away and too high priced. Some of those guys want truck trade in value without realizing how much of that deal resides in the markup of the replacement box.

bad time of year for selling. It's a nice looking box, but the guy buying it is going to want to finance it through the tool truck man.

I also am willing to sell this beast. I just don't know a good price to put on her.

its about 5 or so years old. has the old style keys but 2 sets. new black trim. the box is dirty but will polish. I started polishing the left door. I have pealed the stickers off since the pictures were taken. I have the new decals to match the other box but haven't put them on until after I polish the box. it has all except 1 drawer liner. new shocks on the top.

Its a little on the high side for Craigslist especially in January because people paying off Christmas bills. Lots of people just don't have that kind of cash laying around. If someone really wants one they can get a new one from their dealer for about $50.00 a week if they have access to one.

Don't get desperate. It's almost refund season, which happens to be the only time lots of used toolbox seekers have 3+k in cash.

Yes you should take it. No offence, but 3200 is a lot of money for that box used.

Take it and run.

Guy must really want to make a sale. If he wasn't serious he would have offered you 2 grand. I hope its sold already. I wouldn't hold out on that offer

I thought 3500 was a bit strong...not out of line, IMHO a good starting price to judge. I would think you could get that on trade-in value and you'd have no hassles, no "outage time" when you had no box, etc..

Take the 3200 FAST Before he changes his mind...

I'd sell for that, You had to expect a little haggle, That's only about 8%, If I were a buyer I would have started at 2800.

i put all my items on craigslist a little high, so that the buyer can haggle a little. he thinks hes getting a good deal by me coming down on the price, when in reality im getting the price i actually wanted
