Mac Tools socket with magnet question?

I have a Mac tools 3/4" deep well, 1/2" drive impact socket. The number on it is VDP246 with some kind of symbol after it. Only it really isn't a deep well because it only goes up about 3/4". At that point there is a snap ring holding a magnet with a spring behind it. When I look up that VDP246 number all I get is a standard deep well impact. Anyone know what this is? Thanks.

I can't say for sure that it has not been altered, but if it is they did a lot or work. I took pics, in one you can see the socket is machined inside for the round type snap ring. My camera has a better eye than I do. It looks in the pics like that symbol is J1, but I don't find anything on search with that either.

1 means it was manufactured in quarter 1, with the J meaning either 2010 or 1985. It looks like s regular impact socket that has been customized.
